Discuss, Plan etc...

Today was a bit of a complicated day, arriving at the site around 9 we started to discuss what needed to be finished this week for the total completion of our project. We began measuring out the wall boards and unfortunately found out that each board isn't long enough to span across one side with at least a two foot gap from the end. Luckily, we have a fourth board that will be cut an tailored to each side filling the gaps. We spent the morning lining up the boards measuring how much will need to be cut, until we ran into our second problem. Unfortunately, even with the forth board we would have just slightly less of the amount we need, but looking at the absence of one last frame post we found a solution. If we filled in the hole at the top of the triangle where the original entrance was going to be, and made the entrance on the side where the absent frame post was, we could have enough wall space with the boards we have and have an entrance that works just as well. We then began searching for more two inch floorboards to lay down but again hit roadblock when we realized even if we had two in floorboards to lay down, with no support underneath the small floorboards would crack under pressure. We decided to choose the 3 inch board we had laying around. Unfortunately, once again, another problem occurred with the varying height from 2 to 3 inches, so we brought them down to greg to "bevel" or cut the board at an angle so it gradually rises to 3 inches from 2. Tomorrow we will lay out our walls again to see how it all fits together.
