hard-work=success

Today, was another busy and very very eventful day. We started work at around 9:00 and began bringing supplies down to the spot. We had already bolted one of the framing boards to the tree and had it stable and up. We started on the second one right away drilling through the tough metal pole all over again. When we finally got through and had all the holes drilled we lined up the second framing board and unfortunately ran into a bit of a problem. We measured both boards to the same size, but didn't take in account the difference in distance from the right side of the metal pole to the tree, so we had to bring the framing board to the inside of the pole instead of the outside, allowing us more room for the bracket to hold the framing board. Once we had both frame boards in place we used a string level to find the balance between the both frame boards so we could start laying down the cross beams that will eventually frame the floorboards. As we laid each cross board across the frame we discovered that most of the cross beams had slightly different width's so fortunately Brad was skilled enough to use a chainsaw in remarkable ways and cut out notches for each beam, THANK YOU BRAD! After each cross board was placed we screwed them in and started to place the floor boards on top. At the end of the day it was amazing to see how much work you can get done in one day, with the brackets in place and the floor boards set it finally started looking somewhat like a treehouse.
