Tree House. Conquered.

We did allot today, and dealt with allot as well. We started at our normal time and began lining each gap filler up to its rightful gap. We nailed each one of them into their place using two nails on each side. Next, without having the stainless steal screws today we had to put off drilling the floor boards in until tomorrow, so we decided to make the framing for the walls that Lizzie is so beautifully painting for us. The original framing plan was to create a sort of box using two by six's on the top and bottom, completed with five "studs" or two by fours  that would hold the wall stable. After considering this plan and looking at our wood supply and our empty wallets we decided to make a new plan that would save us money and wood. We decided to cut out the whole box design and just drill the 42 inch two by fours into the sides of our frame and just use excess wood for the top railing. This plan was a much better decision and we began cutting all the useable wood in our left over pile. We cut, cut, and cut some more pouring bug spray all over ourselves every 10 minutes. After a few hours straight cutting and swatting we had completed about 14 nicely uniform two by fours which all are 42 inches high. We next gathered the extra wood from our piles and picked what would become our top railings for the soon to be walls. After completing all of this Danny painted the pulleys and we conceptualized what extra fun things we could add for the kids. We talked about a swing or a tire swing, but we still have to finish the house before we can start anything like that.
