Floor Boards, Fastened

Today we finally got the stainless steal screws that we had been waiting for, we got to work around nine and started drilling right away. We drilled 3 screws across each cross beam intersection. With all the boards ready and secured we still had two open triangular gaps on either side of the platform. We hoped to use the excess cuts from the top of the triangle as fill-in's for the bottom gaps, but one side wasn't the right length so we had to measure and cut intricate triangles to fit the gaps on the left side. After the triangles were cut we focused on the top of the triangle closest to the tree, both ends beyond the doorway had no floorboards on them, and with the wall framing going up tomorrow we needed an even surface all around the circumference of the triangle. We cut 4 or 5 more intricately shaped pieces out of the left over floorboards and finally screwed them in. After the floorboards were finally complete we decided to go on a search for some lags that will help hold the wall framing to the platform, Terry kindly donated some lags and washers to help us bolt up or framing, so that tomorrow we will have all of the framing done. It seems to me that our project is flying faster than we expected, it may give us more time to make the whole area more kid friendly!
