FINISHING UP!
Today I could finally see the slight glimmer of the final product shining through. Its almost like when your buffing brass, to make it clear as can be, and the second you start to see your reflection you realize how far you've come. Today Brad met us around 9 and we really put the petal to the metal, we decided that we would use a flap joint on all of the top cap's to make them all around much stronger. A flap joint is essentially when you cut in an inch and across an inch from both boards than overlapping them creating a "flap" look which allows all of the top railings to be connected making it much stronger and safer. After all the railings were cut we screwed them in making the entire structure stronger, we moved some of the bottom frame posts into better placement, so when the walls are put in we can screw them in on frame posts rather than having nothing behind it. After we finished all this Lizzie asked us to help her find some primer and finish for her murals so they will be water proof and last a life time. We went to maintenance in search of both of these products, we were successful and Lizzie went on painting for the rest of the afternoon. Hopefully by tomorrow we will have Lizzie's First mural up on the main side facing the pully's.
